I am The Hempplasticman~

For years, people have been coming to me to have their questions answered, and their molds filled with hemp based bioplastics.

I lead a team, dedicated to the development and distribution of renewable, sustainable, compostable, natural materials.

Based on our sheer quantity, we are commercializing hemp based polymers for the first time in North American history, and now you can be part of the solution~

Imagine a world without petroleum based plastic, a sea without gyres of bottles and trash.

What if packaging materials were made from nature, from polymers that could be recycled, or engineered to go back to nature when their use is done?

Imagine a place where vegetable based packaging could compost to the point you could grow thriving crops in the remains.

The answer is found in hemp.

It's been obvious since the 1930's when Henry Ford was making body panels for his cars out of newfangled undentable, hempplastic that hemp was a remarkable industrial material.

Right now, I make eco friendly, renewable, sustainable, compostable hemp based bio polymer. You can injection mold it, make film out of it, extrude it, thermal form it, and more.

Natural and strong, Hemp plastic stands to change the world, and you can help!

What do YOU want to make from hemp plastic? Tell me about it~

Due to the convergence of deregulation and consumer demand, the market has embraced many uses for industrial hemp. What's yours? Got an idea?

I can answer your questions, I can challenge your perception of the way you think about conventional polymers.

If you are a current manufacturer, ask me how to convert your existing line into running an eco friendly alternative, with virtually no changes in your run times or temps.

The global bioplastics market was estimated at around 5.4 million tons in 2015 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of approximately 20% from 2016 to 2024. The plastics industry in general tops 300 million tons.

There was a time, when the cost of using biopolymer was 5 times the cost of raw resin, which amounted to a barrier to entry for most manufacturers. Now, hemp based bioplastic is manufactured in high enough quantity to drop the cost to competitive levels, and as the cost of oil rises, hemp plastic prices remain stable.

What the heck am I talking about?

Bioplastics are comprised of the class of plastics made from vegetable materials. The use of bioplastics reduces the consumption of petroleum feedstock’s and stands to change the world, as this improved technology has now become the ideal choice over conventional plastics.

I intend to do my part to help eco conscious companies, inventors, manufactures replace petroleum based plastics with renewable, sustainable, compostable hemp based alternatives.

Your questions and comments are not only welcomed, but encouraged~

Some people ask:

"Is bioplastic really the answer?"

My reply is that today, there are many kinds of vegetable based polymers with fiberous fillings out there...and growing. It's smart to compare.

At the heart of this industry...we match goo and strands. Bioplastics are made from everything you can imagine, from carbon fiber to corn, soy bean, coffee grounds etc~. Polymers are often designed for specific uses or subject to specific property requirements like coloring, fire resistance, gloss, abrasion proofing, flexibility, translucence, etc.

With such a variety, you can bet that some are better than others, properties and price can vary, and it's worth comparing your options.

Some bioplastics are not engineered to degrade. Some are meant to be biodegradable easily, and some are meant to compost. Know what you are looking at before you buy.

The hemp plastic I develop is so green, it starts it's life off the grid. Seriously. I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk. Thanks to the internet of things, my design center is based in an off grid lab, nestled into the mountains of Southeast Alaska.

While for efficiency, all my bio plastics are made and molded in locations from coast to coast, the designs come from a pristine place, started from people who appreciate the planet and want to have a positive impact.

My focus for over 15 years has been in ecological, low impact packaging. Hemp based bioplastic represents the culmination of my effort to convert manufacturers to alternatives far easier on our planet, and better for us.

Ask me about hemp based bioplastic~ and welcome to the family of believers in industrial products made from natural materials.~

Our Off Grid Design Center, located in Southcentral Alaska.   Our designs are born in a pristine place,  then shipped worldwide with the proper formula  and properties required for nearly any application~
